Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

 Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your safari guide who will transfer you to your lodge in Entebbe for an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time, you may have some time to explore the town or relax at the lodge.

Lodging: Boma Guesthouse or Karibu Guesthouse

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

 After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale Forest National Park, which is home to the largest population of chimpanzees in Uganda. The drive takes about 5-6 hours, and you will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.

In the afternoon, you will go for a guided chimpanzee trek in the forest, where you will get to see these amazing primates up close. You may also spot other wildlife such as colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys.

Lodging: Primate Lodge Kibale or Kyaninga Lodge

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

 After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is home to a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, and buffaloes. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which is home to one of the highest concentrations of hippos in the world. You may also see crocodiles, elephants, and various bird species.

Day 4: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park

 Today you will go for a morning game drive in the park, where you will have the opportunity to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species. You will return to your lodge for lunch, followed by an optional community walk to visit the local communities and learn about their way of life.

Lodging: Mweya Safari Lodge or Katara Lodge

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

 After breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to more than half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. The drive takes about 5-6 hours, and you will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.

In the afternoon, you may choose to relax at the lodge or take an optional guided walk in the forest to see some of the bird species that call Bwindi home.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of your safari, as you will go for a gorilla trek in the forest to see these magnificent creatures up close. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide and porters who will help you navigate the steep and sometimes muddy terrain.

After the trek, you will return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and to reflect on this unforgettable experience.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, you will depart for Entebbe, with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. You will arrive at Entebbe international airport in time for your onward flight.
